The hidden school

Ta Psarakia class is creating the hidden school.  Before the Greeks independence we had to hide our religion from the Turks.  Greek went to school typically at night in caves or underground to learn about our religion.  This is where the song Feggaraki mou lambro comes from.

Lyrics to Feggaraki Mou Lambro
Feggaraki mou lambro
Fere mou na perpato
Na pigaino sto Skolio
Na matheno grammata
Grammata spoudamata
Tou Theou Ta prammata
Translation Moon my Light
Moon my light
Bring me to walk
So I can go to school
So I can learn letters
Letters and studying
All of Gods things
