PHILOPTOCHOS OPENS THEIR DOORS
New York, NY – The Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society has successfully relocated to its beautiful, new home at 126 East 37th Street in Manhattan. Please know that although the address has changed, the office telephone and fax numbers remain the same.
The Philoptochos Society would like to thank all who have responded so lovingly so that the dream for a permanent home for Philoptochos could become a reality.
In celebration of this great event in the history of our Philoptochos the Society has planned the following events so that we may all seek God’s blessings while offering an opportunity to those who wish to come and see the new home.
In the long tradition of seeking God’s blessing before any task or new home, an Agiasmo Service at the Center of Philanthropy will be celebrated by His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America. Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the blessing service.
Feast Day of the Patron Saints of Philoptochos, Saints Cosmas and Damian, Divine Liturgy and Artoklasia at Holy Trinity Cathedral, 337 East 74th Street, New York, NY 10021, celebrated by His Grace Bishop Sevastianos. Following the Divine Liturgy an open house will be held at the new home of Philoptochos.
Grand Opening celebration of the new home of Philoptochos will take place on March 1st, 2014 in conjunction with the National Board Meeting of Philoptochos. His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America will lead the Agiasmos, Ribbon Cutting. A reception will follow as the celebrations for the new Center of Philanthropy culminate continuing the more than 80 year tradition of Greek Orthodox philanthropy in America.
