We had a successful coffee hour after church on February 19th. Thank you to all of the parents who helped!



So sorry I have not been writing. Sick kids and now Mama! We have had a very busy winter. The students at the Greek American Preschool have been doing some wonderful lessons. We also cut Vasilopita with Father Lou. Thank you Kyria Callie, Despinis Katerina and Despinis Sophia for doing a wonderful job.

First Week Of Our Preschool

Our classes have started and everything is running smoothly. Our classroom is gorgeous thanks to the GOYA, Georgia Kaitery and Peggy Kostopoulos. Pictures to follow. All new material has been brought back from Greece this summer. (Thanks mom and Thea Cheryl)

Greek American Preschool at Saint Paraskevi First Day!

I am so excited to start this school year. We have 3 new amazing teachers. Despinis Katerina, Despinis Sophia and Kyria Callie. Our classes are filled with Greek American students with the hunger to learn the Greek language, culture, tradition and religion. Good Luck to all!

The Greek American Preschool at Saint Paraskevi Graduation 2011













On Sunday, June 5, 2011 The Greek American Preschool at Saint Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Church had their Moving Up Exercises. The students performed "Agios O Theos" and "Ta Xerakia" ( Perfect song that teaches left and right deksia kai aristera in Greek. Zouzounakia Ah Kounelaki DVD has it http://www.gmvmusic.com/ and www.Greekshops.com ) This years graduates are our original students from when I created the program in September of 2006. All of these students have been through all of the programs in our Preschool: Ta Morakia, Ta Kouklakia, Ta Poulakia and Ta Psarakia. I am very proud of them.

Our Greek Dance recital was held on June 3, 2011. Students did a wonderful job. They danced, the Kalamatiano, Xassapiko, Tsamiko and Zembekiko. Parents were even invited to join in. Kyria Diane Bennis donated her salary for 2010/2011 back to the preschool. God Bless You Thea Diane!
