I made several copies of the poem footprint. Then I dipped my husbands sneaker in blue paint and printed in on page. After it dried I dipped my sons shoe in orange paint and printed it. So cute. Poem is a tear jerker.

Father's Day art projects and poem
Cut out a template for the tie. Have students trace and cut out. They decorated the tie and then we put a string around it. Dad could actually wear it!

Butterfly art project
We cut out the butterfly from a template . Then we stapled a chenille stick for the antennae. We folded butterfly in half and students painted one side. Next they smushed it together! Voila!
Butterfly spring theme.. Mia Orea Petalouda
We sang the butterfly song in Greek. Mia Orea Petalouda. Next we made butterflies. Clothespins with cupcake holders and pompoms for the body. Googly eyes too! I had bought wings from Michaels years ago so children sang the song while wearing the wings. So cute! I also read the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar in English and Greek by Eric Carle. Students loved it! The Greek version is awesome and can be purchased at GMV music and video . Com
