Ax Kounelaki bunny frame
I first had parents bring in a 5 by 7 pic of their child. I purchased wooden frames from Michaels. They were about $1 each. Next we painted frame pink. Then we placed pic in frame. We made black whiskers on face, put a cotton ball on frame for the tail , and from construction paper cut out the ears and glued them in top.
Ringing of the bells Holy Saturday Morning
Holy Saturday at St Paraskevi Church has a wonderful liturgy. It copies the resurrection of our lord Jesus Christ . All of the children are welcomed to bring bells. When the priest announces that Christ has reserve creed, all the children ring their bells and bay leaves are thrown throughout church. It is quite moving.
Decorating the Epitaphio at church
Holy Friday all are welcomed to come decorate the epitaphio at st. Paraskevi in Greenlawn, ny. I go every year in the morning with my sons to help.
