Beets dish stems and leaves too
Since we are fasting for lent, a friend of mine told me to keep the stems and leaves and boil it down while using some kosher salt and lemon. Yummy! Apparently there are a lot of vitamins and minerals in the stems and leaves. It I'd quite filling as well.

Ax Kounelaki for Easter art project
First we sang the nursery rhyme Ax Kounelaki . Then we made a rabbit/Kounelaki mask to use when we sing. We used a paper plate and cut a circle put. Then we cut out pink and white circles . Next we glued cotton balls around the plate. We glued ears on and 3 Popsicle sticks for the whiskers. We also glued white sticks on the bottom of the plate so the students can hold it like a mask.
